Facts You Didn’t Know About Order Of The Eastern Star

For years, many believed that the Freemasonry is a secret organization or a religious cult in the interest of a group of people. However, such claims and rumors are not at all true. This society is not a religion and is neither secret nor political. If you want to accept the truth with an open heart, get familiar with the Order of the Eastern Star (OES), the largest fraternal organization in the world.

What is OES?
Dr. Rob Morris of the Masonic Family founded the OES in the late 1800s, as an effort to include female relatives of Master Masons in the organization. The fraternity provides women with benefits of knowledge and self-improvement that Freemasonry has already made available to men. This means both men and women can participate together in obtaining wisdom and knowledge of the universe. The OES provides all its members with an avenue of compassion and concern for their country and faith in themselves and makes them even better citizens.

How to join OES
If you are a woman who is a relative of a Master Mason, you might be eligible for joining the Order of the Eastern Star. First, you need to find a relative who is close to you or not an immediate relative. Search his profiles and credentials that include records of his membership, date of birth, and residential address. This will help you verify your relative's Masonic membership. Using proper documentation, you can petition to join the organization. The chapter will consider your eligibility after reviewing your profile.

Although Eastern Star orders base their rituals and actions on the teachings of the Bible, the chapter does not pretend to take the place of religion. Regardless of race, religion, and creed, Freemasonry accepts all the individuals who have belief in belief in a supreme being.
